The Design Week theme and name of Interweave was inspired by the the typeface design know as Juosta, which mimicked woven textile belts. This poster showcases simplified patterns found throughout these belts, specifically on the the sides. A modern take of a textile belt found in many cultures is highlighted in the middle, as it is twisted and heaven throughout the middle of the layout.

The design challenge was to create a poster for an event known as Design Week for our target audience of students and designers. The goal was to take a fun take on the textile patterns. The typeface that complimented the typeface of Juosta was Novel Sans Pro, which was used throughout this project. The simplicity of it compared to the decorative nature of Juosta allows for a good balance.
